PRECAUTION

During the update process, all data stored on your smartphone will be overwritten. This means all information, such as contacts, email and appointments, as well as software you installed yourself will be erased. Therefore, we recommend making a backup of all data before starting the update process.

REQUIREMENTS

To update to the latest software, you need the USB cable that shipped with your Acer smartphone and a free USB port on a computer that meets the following requirements:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit, with Service Pack 2 installed or newer, Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit).

Software: Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 or newer.

SOLUTION

Updating the software of your Android smartphone:

Visit the Drivers and Manuals section of Acer support website.

Enter your Serial Number/SNID or search for your product by Model.

Select the OS tab and click the orange icon to download the latest OS version.

Click the Download link for the file you want to download.

Right-click the downloaded ZIP-file and then click Extract All Files. Double-click the folder that has the same name as the downloaded file.

Make sure your smartphone is disconnected from the computer.

Double-click the file setup.exe. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software on your PC. Once the installation is complete, the Software Upgrade Utility will automatically start.

Connect the smartphone to the computer using the USB Sync cable. Once the smartphone has been detected, the current installed software on the phone will display in the Software Upgrade Utility. Click Next to start the upgrade.

When the installation is complete, click Finish, and disconnect the smartphone from the computer
